im back in australia! only for one week :( for my friend's wedding. but i was lucky enough to be back for australia day and mega sunburn. nice. had a lovely day at henley with my lover mary drinking cider

so i have been spending alot of money on magazines lately. but in my defence that is because there are so many beautiful magazines. so i thought i'd list my favourites...

i love you magazine - amazing magazine from berlin. it includes fashion, interesting interviews and photography. definitely worth ordering. i haven't seen it in london, but so much to tell you has pointed out that it is avaliable from magnation in nz and australia.

lula- lula is hard to get a hold of in australia, so i was very excited to pick up a copy in london. it has no ads, just beautiful features and photography. the current issue with guest editor karen elson has a charming interview with yves saint laurent's head designer, stefano pilati. it is a magazine with well written articles that are actually interesting, which is hard to find in a fashion magazine.

acne paper- i picked up my first copy of acne paper in december, and i am very happy i did. smart and well-researched articles and essays, mixed with dreamy and artistic fashion shoots. the current acne paper is in the theme of religion and spirituality, and has an interesting interview with david lynch about transending meditation. mmm

russh- i love russh. i picked up my first copy in 2006 and have bought every copy ever since. its has lovely photo shoots, that are inspired and original. clever articles, beauty tips and are up to date with art and music. they are always finding new talent in fashion, especially in australia and new zealand. its a shame that since it has become more popular it has an increasing amount of adverts, but it is definitely still worth buying.

elle UK- probably the best major fashion magazine in the UK. they have great fashion updates and spreads, great articles and alot of content. worth buying even if you don't live in the UK. i love the covers <3

twin- i haven't read this magazine yet, but i have heard good things! apparently its described a 'mook', a magazine + book thing!

bright

i think this is a sort of new years resolution. to try to stop focusing on myself and consider how other people are feeling. it sounds vague, but i really want to practice empathy.  so much to tell you posted a great article on empathy, and it just reminded me how important it is to place yourself in other people's shoes. whether its your mum or someone from work, or even your best friend. i just think when i actually consider how other people feel, my outlook changes, and thing become much clearer.
